 1) Re-read the Mail Online review of Capital. Why does it suggest that Capital features a left-wing ideology?

They discuss how the show features ethnic and immigrant characters, and how these characters are perceived more favourably than the white British characters.

2) Choose three quotes from the review that are particularly critical of Capital and paste them into your blogpost. Do you agree with the criticisms? Why?

 I agree with these as the concept of the series was overall but it is true that as the series

3) What scenes or characters from Capital could be read as promoting left-wing ideology?

Quintenas lawyer acting as a guardian towards immigrants protecting them and trying to keep them in the uk

4) What about the other side of the argument - are there any aspects of Capital that reinforce right-wing or capitalist viewpoints?

Rodger is a good example as he is a high class businessman and has no regard of others, his only concern is money and complains when he recieves a bonus of £30,000 which seems to be nothing to him.

Marxism suggests that power in society is determined by the distribution of economic resources, particularly the ownership of the means of production.

2) Why is The Apprentice a good example of the media reinforcing capitalist values and ideologies?

The contestants are pitted against each other to prove their worth and ability to succeed in business. This reinforces the idea that success is solely determined by an individual's effort and ability, rather than by systemic factors such as economic inequality and social privilege.
