Media practical

Here i made a video with contrasting scenes. At the start of this clip, there are peaceful scenes that symbolise happiness however there is a classical music layered over it in order to make it seem as though its a sad scene with violins playimg in order ti truely emphasise the contrasting of the positive scenes with the depressing music playing over the background. I then shifted the song to a more upbeat somg which we could corralate to violance due to its heavy beat. which shows a liniar representation.

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher.

www- well chosen songs, similar camera movement music correlated well, two different moods

ebi- include keywords, didnt follow completely the asked objectives, too few shots, avoid watermark.

2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback.

www-Well chosen clips, good correlation, clearly shows the difference, good flow
ebi- need more shots, use one song

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback.

I think my work was fairly good as i used both parallel as well as contrapuntal sounds effectively. Although i did feel as though i failed in creating a montage which was the given task due to using too little clips as well as using two songs in one take.

4) Learner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the top three videos in the class. Whose did you think was best and why? How could you have improved your own video?

As a total, ii feel like if i had to improve on my work i would use a wider variety of clips and stick to one song choice preferably classical.

5) Finally, what have you learned about the importance of sound to film and TV through this week's work?
Sound can help create emotion and set the tone of the film. A film's sound is just as important as the visuals on screen. deciding on how it corralates with the scene
